Server Name: 2017 Ragnarok - Small Tribes - 10X - No Cryos Miss the way Ragnarok felt back in 2017? So do I. I started this ARK: Survival Ascended PvP server for players who miss building real bases, keeping dinos in pens, and moving their tames across the map. The goal is the old Survival Evolved experience with ASA graphics and less grinding. Here's what we've set up: - Map: Ragnarok (ASA), public unofficial PvP server - Small Tribes: 5 players max, no alliances - 10x XP, harvesting, and taming - 10x egg hatching, baby maturation, and crop growth, with shorter mating cooldowns - Wild dinos up to level 150; Wyvern eggs up to level 190 - Classic Ragnarok-inspired creatures, including Griffins and Wyverns; newer creatures are being excluded where possible - Cryopod engrams hidden to encourage old-school dino pens and transporting tames - Balanced defenses: 100-turret proximity limit instead of unlimited turret towers (compromise due to ASA having no wires) - Generator flexibility: 5 nearby generators allowed, with roughly 25 foundations of coverage from our modded generators - No outside survivor, item, or dino transfers - Classic-style building: structures only have a brief pickup window after placement The server is fresh and, right now, it's mostly just me and a few friends. We're hoping to find people who miss the original Ragnarok experience: big bases, actual dino pens, exploring for resources, and PvP that rewards building and preparation. We're keeping the 10x rates for now and are open to feedback as more people join, especially around helping new tribes get established. Whether you're coming back for some nostalgia or trying classic-style Ragnarok PvP for the first time, feel free to jump in and bring your friends.
